custom handmade quilts
For the new baby in your family, a special anniversary, graduation or to preserve tshirts and clothing as memories, we can design and create that custom handmade quilt for you, from table topper to lap or bed sized quilt. You can look at our quilt galleries listed above to see examples of quilts we have made. Our pricing guidelines are as follows:
Consulting Time: this usually takes about an hour and is used to discuss ideas and design quilt at no additional charge.
Custom machine pieced quilt: once designed, fabric and pattern chosen, our basic charge is $28 per hour, plus materials and California sales tax if applicable. Overall price is dependent on complexity of quilt and machine quilting design, inclusion of personal fabric items and/or personal photos transferred onto fabric.
Tshirt quilt construction: Pricing depends on how many tshirts, whether they are sashed /bordered, quilted with or w/o batting, and fabric used for backing (flat cotton, flannel, or plush minky...) plus materials and sales tax.
Binding - either by machine or by hand, or we can leave that part for you to finish. An hourly rate of $30 per hour will be charged.
