From Photo to Quilted Memory

January 3, 2017

Kathy C. approached us with a holiday gift in mind: turning her family's treasured refurbished barn house into usable placemats for her parents to enjoy. Starting with photos of the home, and choices of William Morris reproduction fabrics decided, a plan was set into motion. Each placemat is really an individual quilt, complete with appliqué, patchwork, then quilted and bound. A perfect backing fabric was selected to highlight the farmhouse setting. This was a pleasurable quilting challenge - thank you Kathy for the opportunity!
